We may live in Missouri for the summer; we may not.
We may move to anew city in the fall; we may not.
We may move to Upland; we may not.
We may move to Carmel; we may not.
I may become the hall director of a co-ed dorm at Taylor; I may not.
I may become the apartment director at Taylor; I may not.
We may move back into the apartments where we lived before Indy; we may not.
We may just stay right here as we are now; we may not.

Josh got into a very good school for his doctrate – but without any funding. He called Cumins, they’re not hiring. A week later he got a call from a professor at Taylor saying there may be an opening for a year teaching some engineering classes. That would be good; then he could get in-state tuition when he pursues his doctorate and pay half the price.

We thought, we might be able to live on that salary without me having to work, but then Noah asked, “Why doesn’t Beth see if she can be a Hall Director.” Yeah, what are the possibilities they’re even hiring? They are. They’re looking for a hall director for a co-ed dorm (Gerig?) and an apartment director (Fairlane?). The co-ed dorm one required a masters degree, the apartment one required an undergrad degree. I’ll apply for both just because it would be rediculously cool for Olivia to live in Gerig where she is officially the floor child of FOSO. But the only one I’m qualified for is the apartment one. Free housing, full-time salary, and I can do it all without putting Olivia in daycare. She’d be the most popular girl on campus… imagine all the pic-a-dates she’ll go on!

If we get jobs that don’t start til August, we’ll live in Missouri rent and utility-bill-free for three months with Josh’s parents where Olivia can chase the Mennonite buggies down the dirt road past their farm house.

If Josh gets a job at Cumins after all, we move to Carmel after May sometime.

If he gets an assistantship, we move to a new city… after May sometime.
