I was up way too late last night this morning couponing. A mommy of a four-month-old and a toddler should not be crawling into bed at 1:30am. And even after I was in bed, I just lay there, too excited to sleep, because of this:
This Sunday, I plan to be waiting in front of the CVS doors at 10am when they open. And I will be purchasing the following (in separate transactions to maximize the benefits):
Transaction #1
BC Headache or Goody’s Powders – $1.49
3-bar pack of Irish Spring – $1.99
12oz bottle of Clear Care contact lens solution – $6.99
Infusium 23 Shampoo – $5.00
Infusium 23 Conditioner – $5.00
Total: 20.47
Subtract $9.00 in coupons.
Subtract $12.48 in ECB (CVS money)
The store now owes me $1.01
Transaction #2 :
Olay Cleanser – $8.99
Olay Cleanser – $8.99
Aquify Multi-purpose Solution – $4.99
Total: 22.97
Subtract $10 in coupons
Subtract $9.99 in ECB
New Total: $2.98
Subtract the $1.01 and my out-of-pocket expense is $1.97 for $43.44 worth of goods!
If you coupon, I highly recommend you visit your local CVS this Sunday! And if your CVS is open 24 hours/day, then you be there at midnight! (That’s when the sales go into effect and they sell out of freebies that quickly!)

Okay…I’m new at this frugalness, but trying to learn all I can… how do you already know what Sunday’s ad will be? Thanks! I’ve had a few of those exciting deals already…my husband thinks I’m crazy with how excited I get about it!
Families.com usually has the CVS ads a week or more in advance! I got this next week’s ad from this site: http://forums.families.com/cvs-729-84,t110407
It’s not always the most accurate, due to different sales in different regions. But I’d say it’s 80% correct!
I love it! Couponing is a hobby for me. But its the only hobby I know of that saves money!
CVS and it’s Extra Care Bucks rule! I love it when I find something on sale, and I have a coupon, and it gets me new ECBs…especially when I use ECBs I already have to help pay for it, too! Nothing like someone giving YOU money to take something from their store, LOL!
