I’ve been looking for a reason to brag on this bib to you all – now I have one. Rocks In My Dryer is hosting a Brand Loyalty version of Works-For-Me-Wednesday. At first I thought I would have nothing to say. I buy what’s on sale. I am unfaithful with it comes to brands.
But then I remembered the Bumkins SuperBib.
We have tried cloth bibs. They stained. They harvested penicillin. They were too small.
We tried department store brand plastic bibs with pockets. Oh, I loved those. Until they started cracking. The food seeped into the cracks. The cracks scratched my daughter. And then there was the pocket that stubbornly remained shut – refusing to swallow even one dropped spaghetti noodle. Did I mention the velcro fastener was directly underneath my daughter’s mass of golden curls? It was painful for all involved.
Finally, a friend turned us on to the Bumpkin’s SuperBib.
It is not laminated. It is the same fabric as the diaper covers I use – and I know those can stand up to a whole lot. It is not hard and plastic-y. It is thin. It dries super fast.
I have stopped wasting my money on Bibsters for restaurant outings. The SuperBib folds up incredibly small to fit in any available crevice you may find suitable in your diaper bag. After my daughter is done thoroughly smearing every possibly colored sauce onto it, I wash it off in the restaurant bathroom (if it’s not particularly saucy, all it needs it a rinse!), attach it to the strap on my diaper bag, and it is dry before we get home.
It is the perfect size – it covers my child’s whole front.
The pocket stays open to catch many-a-crumb. My daughter appreciates this, I know, for I see her digging around in there for treats.
The velcro latch is on the SIDE of the neck, carefully situated so as to avoid any and all pulling of precious toddler hair.
This bib will even supply more storage space (and all mothers of children need more of this) – for you will throw out all your other bibs after trying it. And you only need two per child – one for the diaper bag and one for the kitchen.
And… wait for it… wait for it…
It is machine washable. On whatever temperature you see fit.
Definitely works for me.
Okay you convinced me. I want one now. And I don’t even have kids!
WOW! I need one!
Wow, I’m off to find one now!!
I agree with you sister! I bought 3 Bumkin bibs 6 years ago with child #1, and now they are getting ready to be used by child #3, and they still look great! No other bib even compares!
Haha, Bumkins should pay me to advertise their bib! Look at all the converts I made!
Hey…someone should try marketing these in the U.K!
Look great!
OK, I have tried all the pocketed bibs, but I discovered this coverall invented by moms from http://www.chictots.com and would never go back to a bib! My 16 month-old daughter can eat whatever she wants and her lap is totally clean (not to mention her sleeves).
It’s an remarkable paragraph in favor of all the web people; they will obtain advantage from it I am sure.
