I have beaten the system! Ha! Thanks, Jes, for hosting my pictures on your site for me!
~~~
OH! And I forgot to introduce you to the gorgeous blonde (the one without pigtails) in the pictures below – Meet Melissa, Josh’s sister!
~~~
Oh, how I really, really, really wanted to show you pictures of how my SIX-MONTH-OLD is PULLING HIMSELF INTO A STANDING POSITION (because he is a PRODIGY) but, alas, those [thousands of] pictures will take a week or two to upload.
So here are the promised Pumpkin Patch Pictures! (Alliteration makes me smile.)
We started the day with a picnic.
After eating, we had fun on the playground:
Has anyone seen one of these before? Is it a slide? Is it art? Is it a solar panel? Is it a transmission device planted by extraterrestrials?
On to the Petting Zoo:
Should one entrust the fragile life of a baby chick into the hands of a toddler? It’s debatable.
And… pigs.
And… goats. (Note her open mouth. She was coaxing the goat to open his mouth. Much as a parent would do to a baby.)
And… bunnies. The bunnies were the one species that just would not eat. She tried and tried and tried. They refused. And I don’t think they appreciated her efforts. In fact, I think they peed on her leg in retaliation.
Benjamin was much more gentle.
Off to the corn maze!
Entering the corn maze…. And leaving the corn maze.
Look similar? That would be because we came out the entrance. Pathetic? Not at all. We were just proud we got out alive.
Now for Pumpkin Pictures!
Here is the traditional Mommy-Baby-Pumpkin picture:
And the Family Pumpkin Portrait. (Olivia was quite tired and bored by this point – could you tell?)
There you have it! Do you have pictures you want to share? Introduce me to your family! Show me what you did this week. 🙂 (Remember to use the link to your individual Meet-and-Greet post – not the link to your homepage!)
Those pictures are so adorable. 🙂 I’m glad you beat the system. if you need anymore help let me know. I’m sure the whole world wants to see Benjamin pulling up!
These are excellent pictures- look like you had a blast. What a great tradition!
So, if I grow pumpkins next year, would you come down to visit & pick one out? Or do you have your One Pumpkin Patch you always go to?
i was nervous watching her with the baby chick…would not have gone well with my boys…
Thought I would join in on the fun of posting pictures of adorable children! Your kids are cute.
Oops, I just realized I didn’t do my url directly to my post. Sorry! Now I know : )
Y’all are just such cute, young thangs! Just makes me grin from ear to ear! Will that pumpkin be meeting Mr. Squirrel in its near future?
Joanna – Of course we would come get a pumpkin from you! You could be part of our tradition! The one patch we were somewhat loyal to was the Anderson Orchard in Indy because it was just so NICE. But we can’t find one that compares up here. The one we went to this year was better than last year’s, though. 🙂
Will you have a petting zoo?
Zoe – No baby chicks were harmed in the making of this post.
Michelle – Alas, that was the pumpkin that met Mr. Squirrel. Sigh.
We’ll probably have a puppy. I’d let you guys pet it. Does that count? 🙂
I see Olivia going into the corn maze with Dad and Benjamin…but only Dad and Benjamin coming out. What’s up with that?
Love,
GMOM
