Hey, look! I’m on top of things enough to auto-post. (Please ignore the dirty dishes on the counter. And the clean clothes on the couch.)

——————-

I was hesitant to even announce this at first. It happened right after the house fell through. And before we were released from the purchase agreement. So it didn’t feel very certain at the time. Even though we had put down $300 for a deposit.

Our world felt very topsy-turvy. Who knew? Maybe this place would fall into a hole in the ground. Still could.

But I feel you should know, regardless of holes in the ground, that we’ve found a new place to live.

(a la Superman): It’s a house! It’s an apartment! No, It’s a DUPLEX!

That’s right. part house, part apartment. All around affordable option.

The specs:

  • 1100 sq ft (We currently reside in 965)
  • 3 bedroom (We currently have 2)
  • Hard wood floors (We have carpet everywhere but the bathroom and the itty bitty kitchen)
  • Rent is $610/mo (Our current rent is 569, and was due to go up to 619 (which is why we signed a move-out notice in the first place)
  • We’ll have a yard! I’m allowed a clothesline!
  • We’ll have a hook-up for a dryer! (And washer, of course)
  • No dishwasher… but we’ll work something out.
  • No water/trash/sewage bill, as it’s on a well and septic tank. (We pay $30 for w/t/s in this apartment).
  • It is out of town, so a bit of a longer commute for Josh (just a few more minutes, really) and he’ll have to take the car (read: pay for gas and parking permit).
  • 1.5 bathrooms, which is 0.5 more than what we’ve got now!
  • And, perhaps the most impressive feature: TWO CAR GARAGE. 🙂 Finally, a convenient place to store our bikes! And jogging stroller! (However, being out of town, we’re unsure how often we’ll be able to use either of those).

Enough with the specs, onto the pics!
