Okay, so first of all, I love that what you guys want to read about = what I want to write about. Aren’t we just a match made in heaven?
Second, I still have no pictures of the new place. I actually don’t have many pictures at all. I just ordered a Nikon D60 (due to be shipped on the 15!), and now my point-and-shoot just holds no allure for me. BUT NEXT WEEK, my friends, NEXT WEEK…
I do have a few pictures, so here ya go:
This past weekend, we went to a college reunion (and I just realized Firefox 3 doesn’t have spell check, oh Heaven help me). The dorm I used to live in was small; it only held around 80 people. And last year, it was decided that we shall meet yearly (as long as possible) to stay in touch.
Here is Ashley, (of twentysixcats), the mastermind behind the reunion.
And that’s Paul, her husband. He can be a bit of a daredevil (Oh, look! Spell check is working again!) when confronted with climbing opportunities.
This is the caterpillar he found and befriended. Emily (background) is not as thrilled…
Corrinne didn’t know I was taking her picture.
And sadly, those are all the pictures I took. It’s hard to wield a camera and a 16 month old at the same time. But surely someone else (with a better camera – my GOODNESS the d-slr‘s at that reunion made my poor Olympus suffer some serious self-esteem issues.)
And, completely unrelated, I mentioned earlier we bought a water softener. This is why:
Our kitchen faucet leaks a bit. That rust spot on the sink is only a week old at that point.
The tub, also, was scrubbed a week prior to this shot. Note the rust-line from the kids’ bathwater. They had only had 3-4 baths when this picture was taken.
And yes, we keep our sippies in the bathtub. Don’t you?
And the grand finale of rust horror stories:
No, I didn’t forget to flush. That toilet bowl was pristine, white, completely rust-free a week ago.
So we decided we needed a water softener. Before we all turned into Oompa Loompas.
And, in case the picture of the toilet didn’t completely gross you out, here’s a picture from outside our old apartment:
We had a good-sized ant population there. Luckily, living on the second story, we didn’t have that many in our actual apartment. But out in the courtyard, they let their presence be known.
And that’s my Meet-and-Greet Monday. Hey, you got to meet a few actual people. And my toilet. So it counts. Next week I’ll show you my curtains. Oh, yes, and of course, MY KIDS.
What pictures would you like to share with me this week? Put your linky below:
I was sad not to make it to the reunion. 🙁 I’m still holding out hope that some day…
I look skinny!
although you have no photographic proof I was there (though my husband is in the background in one picture, so there’s circumstantial evidence), I had a blast and was glad to see everyone.
ashley: You look GREAT!
Meet and Greet Monday sounds fun! I hope I remember it next Monday, lol.
