It’s not completely abnormal that my nineteen-month-old likes to sit in rubbermaid containers… is it?
I disagree, on an aesthetic level, with the raking of leaves. This is why:
I tried to set up my own photo shoot, with that oak tree in the background. She thought it was fun to run from the photo prop.
Benjamin was a good sport, though.
Not to be outdone by her little brother, Olivia consented. And gave me my current favorite picture that holds BOTH my kids. Note the look on Benjamin’s face. So typical of a little brother being hugged by his older sister:
Further proof – that’s my foot. Being covered by leaves.
We also had some fun on the neighbor’s slide.
Good Little Children, going down on their bottoms, feet first…
Oh, and take a look at those shoes. She put them on herself, can you tell? I tried to correct her, but her exact words were “I like them this way.”
And then, after all that, Josh went out and bought a rake. *Sigh*

sorry to spam- the link box bumped me out so the other post went to my main blog. This link takes you an album on picasa.
I trust you and your readers will not steal them. =)
Oh Man! That makes me wish we had leaves in our yard. (All our trees are on the border of the backyard and blow away from us!) That looked like so much fun! Great shots!
For the record, we tried to get these same children to play in the leaves at OUR house, raked into a pile, and they would have none of it, looking at us like we were crazy. Glad to know we aren’t 🙂
so cute! my two year old likes to sit in Rubbermaid containers, so maybe it is normal! Oh, and I have a niece who for about a year would put her shoes on the wrong feet and if you put them on the right feet, she’d take them off and put them back on the wrong feet.
Love that pic of Benjamin standing beside the tree. That boy will be a heartbreaker when he grows up! Too cute! And yikes, that looks like a big yard to rake!
i love leaves, and always frown and pout when the landlord calls and asks us if we want him to lend us his rake….sigh…i love the crunchiness…and in the spring i have to rake anyways after the snow leaves…so what is the point…
my son 5 yrs old, always says his shoes feel better on the wrong feet
i LOVE the olivia pic of her in the leaves, called beautiful….NICE…i always do fall pics, this year who knows, we’re moving for the 3rd time this year, why oh why do we unpack
So cute playing in the leaves.
Sasha likes the Rubbermaid tubs as well. He sits in it and pretends he’s driving…
Love the leaf pics! We should have enough leaves to do that this week – can’t wait to see how our 17 month old likes it.
New reader, browsing through…love your writing style and honesty. 🙂
Opps, I meant to thank you for hooking me up with Mr. Linky, too. And…love the fall foilage- my husband raked our leaves before we had a ‘real’ chance to play in them.
Tupperware sitting is completely normal! Love the photo shoot, and the props!!
