Ahem. If you pray for God to direct your path/make your decision obvious/shut the doors He doesn’t want you to go through, then it only makes sense to see shut doors as the answer to your prayers.
Josh did not get the Boston job.
While we were waiting to hear from Boston, we also found that the Arkansas job has been filled.
And he was contacted by a [more] local company, phone-interviewed, and told that they were not in need of his particular skills at this time.
Praise God for answered prayer.
(Of course, the second half to those prayers was that He OPEN the right doors, but He remembers that. And He will.)
He’ll shut doors, and eventually open the Right One, and in the meantime, you’ll do what is in front of you, whatever that may be. The Plan will work out in the end, and all will be fine. Don’t be discouraged!
I understand where you are coming from. We too are waiting for an open door in terms of my husband’s job, particularly one that will allow me to stay home with our son. We’ve seen doors close, but there is one that is still a very good possibility. We are praying that it stays open.
Keep having faith in God’s plan. It always works out in the most perfect way, even if we can’t always see it that way in the present.
My husband’s looking for a job, too. Sometimes a quick “no” can be a blessing, as it lets us move on instead of waiting and waiting.
I hope you guys find something.
Closed doors can be discouraging, but God only answers no when he loves us to much to say yes. He must have something even better in mind!
you keep track numerically of your life lessons…impressive.
j/k. but anyhow, everyone knows josh is just about the smartest person in the world, so obviously God has something else in mind. maybe something in Nashville 😉
Oh, that’s tough. I admire you for having such a good attitude about things. I hope you all are reunited quickly for the holidays. I pray God opens just the right door for the two of you.
honestly i’m glad you’re not moving to boston. if you lived there and i move to the northwest i’d REALLY never see you! seriously i’ll be praying for all the right doors, windows, paths…all of it! love you mostest!!!!
I miss you! Hope you’re having a wonderful, merry Christmas!
Just concerned about your lack of posting. I’m praying for your family and the job situation!!

A book you have to check out called “Elijah’s Coin” is Life Changing!
I read the book and gave the coin to my son, along with my copy of the book. We both loved it. I think it is the first book we’ve read together and we continue to talk about its message.
