We joke that we’ll end up calling the new baby, “New Baby”. Because when you ask Benjamin what his name is, he stares you in the eyes and responds in all seriousness: “Baby.”
If you ask him what his sister’s name is, he’ll answer, “Vah-yah.” Which is an honest attempt at “Olivia.” So we know he understands the concept of “name”. But he steadfastly refuses to relinquish his hold on “The Baby” status and will tell everyone his name is “Baby”.
Oh, but we still look at BabyNames.com. Because we’re optimistic fools like that. And because we wanted something more traditional for the birth certificate.
So, here is “New Baby” at 20 weeks:
I didn’t add any captions because the ultrasound tech did such a lovely job of it, I didn’t want to attempt to out-do her.
Plus, it’s like 12:48 a.m. and I’m still awake. Something about some sporting event that involves good friends, good food, good commercials, and getting home ridiculously late…
So I’m gonna go pop some Tums and head to bed. Night all!

When I’m pregnant, I eat Tums like it’s my job.
Cute, cute baby. When I was expecting #3, #2 greeted the announcement of her impending big-sisterhood with “*I** deh baybee!!” They’ve worked it out now (they’re 9 & 12).
Gotta love the ultrsound pics!
Your baby is bigger than my baby! 🙂
You got some awesome pics!!! I am envious! I have never been able to get those really nice classic shots of my kids with the ultrasounds, I get random body parts and freaky alien shots.
Those really are adorable pictures. I’m really amazed. What a blessing!
I just wanted to say, I had a friend who got kidney stones in her ninth month, which she attributed to taking LOTS of Tums. I’m sure a few wouldn’t be any big deal, but I just wanted to share that. My midwife encouraged me to try papaya enzymes and I also used a little swig of apple cider vinegar with heavy or spicy meals. When I remembered, they seemed to work pretty well. Anyway, I know this is your third pregnancy, but I would have wanted someone to share that with me!
God bless.
Congratulations!
Such cute ultasound pics…I love the profile. Beautiful.
lol…beautiful! when I was preggers with Isaiah, and we found out it was a boy, Jubilee insisted that his name should be Max. When we said no, she literally cried for over an hour. Now she’s ok with the name Isaiah though.
