You may have noticed Meet-and-Greet wasn’t up on Monday. Neither was I. Starting around 7pm Sunday evening and finally ending 4am Monday morning, I couldn’t even keep water down. I haven’t been sick that many times in my life, combined.
So I spent most of Monday sleeping.
My goal for today is eating. I’ve lost five pounds since Sunday, and I think my baby would prefer I gain those back. But my stomach keeps insisting it really doesn’t need food, and when I force it down, it protests as if I just shoved a Thanksgiving feast down there.
So, although I don’t feel sick anymore, I’m still considerably weaker than normal. Which explains the piles of laundry, mountains of toys, and lack of Meet-and-Greet.
But! My husband comes to the rescue for those going through the withdrawal often associated with with not seeing my children on a regular basis! (I have a knack for writing awkward sentences and making them sound good in my head.) His (and mine, too, I guess) Christmas present this year was a new video camera and he’s been busy capturing all sorts of memorable moments and then editing them until they couldn’t possibly get any cuter.
So here’s a video from a fun day in the snow… back when we had snow. Which has since sunk into the ground, leaving a huge mud-pit for a front yard. Yum.
Yay for the Garrison Keillor quote at the end! Josh has quite the video-editing skills.
Hope you feel better soon! I just got over that myself and it was not fun! In fact I’m still trying to catch up with everything I didn’t get done last week.
I hope you get more energy and feel better soon. I loved your video.. I dislike snow. And we haven’t played in it all winter. Next year I will be better I swear it. My kids can’t go their entire life with no snow play. Right?
So cute! Yes, love the quote at the end. Hope you are feeling better very soon. I hear that bug is going around and is very nasty.
What a fabulous movie!! That’s something that will be treasured forever, I think!! Thank you for sharing it, it was lovely, and I loved the quote at the end!
I love it! It *almost* makes me want to live somewhere cold. 😉 Hope you’re feeling better!
That is too precious. Well done, Josh! It inspires me to take more real videos instead of just little clips. Must break out the camcorder!
That is so cute. Enjoy each and every moment. Our babies grow up sooo fast. I hope you get well soon.
Oooh, I totally know the feeling. Yuck. Hope you overcome it soon. 🙂 You will.
