This took ages. And we couldn’t agree on five that we both liked. So there’s seven on the list.
After you vote for a first name, tell me which middle name you’d put with it in the comments. Middle names we like are:
- Taylor
- Matthew
- Elliot (but no, we won’t name him Elliot Elliot.)
- Or any of the names that didn’t make the final list, like
- Malachi
- Emmett
- Andrew
- Isaiah
- Elijah
- Titus
- Carter
- Gideon
- Micah
- Alexander
Again, keep in mind that our last name is one syllable and starts with Z (and if you know it, please don’t include it in the comments… I had to do a lot of deleting last time.)
I’m a big fan of giving him the middle name of Taylor. You already have a Grace, you NEED a Taylor!! 😀
Are you not going to tell me which first name you voted for? Or are you saying Taylor would be your choice of a middle name for ALL of them? 🙂
I voted Samuel and I’d say Carter or Isaiah for a middle. I just think Samuel goes well with the other kiddos names. 🙂
What about the College Josh is Currently at? will that be a middle name for the next one? he he.
I voted for Jonah. go figure. I don’t even have a middle name suggestion other than Jonah Riley. but I already told you.
However, I must say I do not think it’s a boy, so I probably am not looking at this very well. he he.
oooh. I like Samuel Carter. see, I’m horrible
You must really like Carter. It made the list twice.
I like Levi Alexander best. I’m not sure if I’d pronounce it like the jeans (Lee-vye) or the Hebrew pronounciation (Lev-ee) Unfortunately, with Levi Alexander, you end up with a “LAZ Boy”, which is kind of awkward.
I like the name Phillip with your last name, but can’t figure out a middle name to go with it.
I know another baby Jonah, so it may be rising in popularity, which is something I know you take into consideration.
Elliot Andrew would be my second choice, probably. It goes with Olivia & Benjamin well. But so does Levi.
Joana – ha, no, more like I was really distracted. I’d attempted to adjust the volume on the lappy via touch media control and the display wouldn’t leave the middle of the screen, AND Olivia was repeatedly asking for red construction paper. 😛
I should say, I know a baby Samuel, too.
I voted for Elliot. It’s a nice, not too common name (I think?) but everyone has heard it.
The name meaning is lovely.
How about Elliot Carter? Or Elliot Matthew? Elliot Taylor?
All good choices and I’m sure they’ll be nice for some future baby of yours. Cuz I’m still convinced you’re having a girl 🙂
Levi Carter?? Has a nice ring to it…Carter was my original thought…I think it goes nicely with Z….er..your last name…;-)
I am voting for Philip Matthew.
For some reason that sounds like a good Christian singer name.
Jonah Taylor
What about Levi Elliot Z…..
I think loosely translated it could mean “pledged to the God on high,” which sounds beautiful to me.
Also, having a hard ending for the middle name might mesh better with your last name.
And it is a good thing we are having a girl in August, because the more I roll this name around on my tongue, the more I like it!
I like Levi Alexander! =) Judah was my 2nd choice.
I voted Judah, so my middle name picks would be Elliot, Alexander, or Taylor.

I know someone named Samuel Elliot, and he rocks. 😀
I vote for any name that can have Taylor as a middle name. I can’t remember which name I voted for, but I’m a big fan of Levi Taylor and Elliot Taylor. I really like all the other options, too, except perhaps Solomon.
I voted for Levi. Levi Alexander Z… has a nice ring to it 🙂
judah. love it! not sure about middle name to go with it. maybe judah elliot. perhaps even alexander as the middle.
I like Samuel Matthew…
I really like Levi Alexander Z… It fits well with Olivia and Benjamin.
One of my favorite men I’ve met in my life is named Soloman (he’s in Senegal too)
Taylor is a great middle name! Bad first name, though, it’s too unisex
I like Elliot Taylor
Samuel is the only one I liked on your list! How about Samuel Taylor? That sounds nice.
I LOVE the name Alexander for a middle name — for any of them! 🙂 My first inclination was Levi Alexander Z. But then, I realized his initials would be LAZ — ugh. (EAZ would be almost as bad, too). Also, Levi has too many letters in common with Olivia – they look and sound too much alike.
So, I went with Joshua. Of course, then his initials would be JAZ — Oy! I over-think these things!!! 🙂
okay,I think my final choice is Samuel Isaiah Z. But, it’s very Biblical sounding…which is good and bad…but I still like it quite a bit. I just love the nickname Sammie for a little boy!!
Levi Alexander. Two good, strong names!
i like Clay for a middle name. we are all clay in the potter’s hands. 🙂
Samuel Micah… I like it… We want to call our son (one day) Elijah.
I think Levi Taylor sounds nice. Or Samuel Alexander. Any of them would be nice, though!
Hi. I vote for Solomon Levi. 🙂
Sorry – just can’t get past thinking of the irresponsible Levi that got Bristol Palin pregnant when I hear the name Levi. My husband’s middle name is Philip and I like that name!
My vote for first name is Elliot b/c I love being able to shorten it to Eli. For the middle name I love Carter. I also like the sound of Samuel Carter. Good luck and happy healthy baby to you! 🙂
Samuel or Isaiah 🙂
I like Levi Matthew. Matthew is my youngest’s name and my dad’s name. We call them Big Matt and Little Matt.
Samuel Elliot/ Samuel Carter,
Tho’ I do like Elliot Taylor! 😉
That was kinda hard- LOL!
I love the names you all are considering! Levi and Jonah are my and my husband’s top picks for a boy. I voted for Jonah. I like Jonah Alexander and Jonah Micah I think either name would go great with a “Z” one syllable last name. Jonah Micah could sound a little too sing-song-y since your last name is one syllable, though, but if it was me I wouldn’t care about that so much. Good luck to you all!
I like Phillip Carter. I like the sound and it doesn’t make a name as initials.
I like Samuel or Elliot as a first name and Carter or Micah as middle names. Taylor works too. I really think you should avoid Levi, though – people are going to call Olivia Livy, whether you like it or not, and Levi is annoying close to that. But I won’t hold it against you if you go with it. 🙂
I don’t think people will call Olivia Livi unless they hear you do it. I have a friend who’s daughter has the same name and it doesn’t happen to her.
Very interested !! keep woking !!
