Still a lot of money. But the meat will last us a couple weeks and I couldn’t pass up the great produce deals.
I LOVE FRUIT.
Oh, and I saved $59.03. So considering all this was GOING to be over $100… I think I did pretty good.
This shopping trip is a combination of three grocery stores. Pay-less (it’s a Kroger’s, not a shoe store.), Marsh (again, not a swamp, a store.), and Meijer (not pronounced “Major”, but “My-er”).
Also, this picture does not include the $8 cat food we bought. For the garage cats. Who attacked me on my way in with the groceries and would not wait for me to take a picture of their dinner.
Oh, by the way, we’re down to two. Came back from Labor Day Weekend and Olivia’s favorite cat was gone. Sadness.
Anyway, here are some of the best deals (not, you know, the toilet paper, bananas, paints, or toothbrush holder, since those weren’t on sale):
From Meijer (from Bargain Briana):
(Meijer doubles coupons up to .50, by the way)

… and a whole chicken for .85/lb.
Oh, and they had a deal where you buy 10 of certain items, get one free. The veggies, Campbell’s, and Totinos fell under that category, so I got free salad dressing!
Then I got some awesome produce deals at Pay-Less:
gala apples .88/lb
bartlett pears .77/lb
green bell peppers .68ea
peaches .99/lb
… along with a .99/lb ham.
And at Marsh I picked up a couple .88/lb pork picnic roasts.
(I have this thing with meat – I rarely pay over a dollar per pound.)
This week’s menu is as follows:
th- pork chops
f- pizza
sa- ham
su- chicken
m- pasta fagioli
tu- chicken asparagus casserole
w- grill out
And I’ve already deviated from it. And next week we’ll have some pulled pork and tacos and ham & noodle casserole. I’ll decide the details later.
