Just popping back here (in the far back bedroom, where our ancient desktop is located) to explain my absence.

We DID make it back from Missouri okay.  The kids were so exhausted from the over-excitement and under-sleepment of the week that they slept half the way!

Then, Monday morning, Josh called me from school to say his laptop wouldn’t turn on.  And could I please drop mine off on my way to get groceries.

Ah, submission.  Wonderful in theory, painful in practice.

His lappy is still broken (this being Thursday), and on top of that, he’s working 12-18 hour days trying to get projects and presentations done before the end of the semester.

So the reasons I’m not posting, in bulleted format:

• I’m busy.  I’m a single parent during the middles and ends of semesters, dontcha know.
• The desktop is back where Levi takes his naps and Olivia has her quiet times.  The two times I am most likely to post.
• The desktop likes to randomly shut off.  This inhibits any desire in me to write anything lengthy, deep, meaningful, or just plain time-consuming on it.
• The desktop is a dinosaur that does not cope well with the uploading of the pictures.
• I’m busy.

Now to tend to the crying baby.  Waaaaaayyyy out there in the living room.  All by himself.
