It’s Josh’s spring break. But as we’re headed to Hawaii in two weeks (EEEK!), he’s working through this week and taking that one off instead.
It’s also BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS INCREDIBLE out. So, for lunch today, we headed out to see the Daddy. And the Mountain. But we’ll get to that later. For now, just enjoy the following drool-worthy photograph:
Baking that bread. Driving in an enclosed van with that freshly baked bread. Watching other members of my family hungrily shove soft, chewy portions of that bread, layered with crisp, cool lettuce and double portions of juicy (all-natural) deli meat into their mouths… to a gal going gluten-free, that is some kind of medieval torture right there, that is.
Enjoying the spread.
Did I mention we got a dog?
Meet Lucy!
Lucille McGillicuddy is a 7mo Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
And also about the cutest thing EV-ER.
Still working on leash training.
Not that I don’t have enough to do these days.
What with this one…
… crawling…
… everywhere.
Deep discussion with Daddy. Giving him some thesis advice. Josh will now be studying the effects of Bwah Bwah Bwah Mah Mah Mah Dah Dah Dah on a Monkey in Deep Space.
His first turkey sandwich. He loves the bread.
A-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-and now.
The moment you’ve all been waiting for….
I present to you…
… the one…
… the only…
(well, the only one I’ve seen in Indiana, anyway)
Yes. It is, indeed, a Fountain. And it is not on. So they did, indeed, run through it.
I will be writing down the names of those of you that got the answer right, put them in a hat (or perhaps a bowl, or maybe even one of those baby toy buckets that you put the shapes into) and draw out a winner. I will contact you either through email or text message depending on how familiar we are with each other. And I will ask you which baking mix you would like me to send your way!
Do I get extra points for guessing the SPECIFIC fountain? 🙂
That is so sweet! I knew which “mountain” you were talking about but I must have missed the part about there being a contest with a PRIZE involved. Oh well, maybe next time!
I ran through that fountain several times but I think I prefer the round one since it’s a little more predictable. Hee!

Good luck going gluten-free! It’s hard at first, but gets much easier.
I just have to say, where did that handsome young man come from and what did you do with little Benjamin????
You got a dog? You got a dog and didn’t tell us right away?! What is up with that?! Cavaliers are so precious. We have one (tri-color) and think he is absolutely the best family dog out there. Do you know the breed history? It’s fascinating. Geez, can’t believe that news didn’t make instant blog headlines.
The lunch looks yummy. The kids are getting big! The puppy is absolutely adorable!!! What prompted the GF?
