Yesterday, my day started at 5:30. Hill runs at 6, play date at the zoo at 10, lunch with Daddy at noon. And I had three loads of laundry and a day’s worth of dishes to fit in there somewhere, as well. By the time I got home, it was after 2pm and I was exhausted.
So, after putting the older two down for Quiet Times, I snuggled on the couch with Levi and we promptly fell asleep.
Three hours later, I awoke to the most precious sound. It was the sound of the four year old whispering to the three year old, “Shhh! Don’t wake up Levi and Mommy!”
Have I mentioned lately that I adore my children?
And later I found out that Olivia even sorted and put away diapers after she got up from Quiet Times! Without being asked!
Best. Children. Ever.
How sweet!!
There have been a few times I’ve fallen asleep on the couch while the girls were tucking their Daddy in (he works nights, so he goes to bed around 3pm). I’d hear them leave the bedroom and quietly walk to the playroom to play. Trying not to wake me up. Gabriella helps keep Hannah occupied and helps give her drinks and such while I’m “napping”. They don’t realize that I’m not really asleep … but it’s really cute anyway lol
