So I know I said I was back and then, well, left.
Sorry.
It’s been a crazy month.
We had friends visit for four glorious fun-filled, action-packed days. I didn’t want to leave you, but they deserved my undivided attention, since I hadn’t seen her in four years and hadn’t even met either of her two children!
Then, with a one day buffer, we turned around and left for Missouri. It was just going to be a long weekend (Memorial Day weekend), to celebrate Josh’s youngest sister graduating high school. But we were tempted into staying a whole week.
On the way back, we decided to swing by my mom’s house. For the weekend.
Got back Sunday night, got a not-so-good night’s sleep, and lo-and-behold, it’s VBS week. Gone every morning all week.
I forget where I was going with this… had to stop because Levi was carrying around tampons… the repair man is here fixing the bathroom cupboard (we’ve been missing a door on that thing for a month!).
So, anyway, I’ve been trying to get some writing done a bit every day this week. It’s not going very quickly. Levi is verrrrrrry slooowwwwwwly adjusting to non-vacation life.
Just wanted to let you know I’m still here, and still working on stuff for you. All three of you who still read this blog.
*waves*
Anyone else knee-deep in summer festivities?!
I read your blog. Just thought I’d pipe up and let you know that. Hope VBS is going well this week. And that Levi is getting over his sniffles.
You forgot the part where I get to see you in TWO days!!!! 😀 😀
I read your blog; it’s awesome. I’m blanking on what “VBS” means though…
Right! As if the craziness would be over ANYTIME SOON. lol. And the day before we leave to see you, we’re driving an hour and a half to see a play! And then driving back! lol. Then there’s Levi’s birthday, Olivia’s birthday, the family reunion BACK in Missouri, Josh’s birthday, Josh flying out to California for training, our family vacation (free tickets thanks to the United fiasco!), and I *think* the summer should be over by then! 😀
Sorry ~M! It’s Vacation Bible School. Olivia’s first year!
I know you read my blog, Mommy. You kinda have to. It’s in the Mommy/Daughter contract, I’m pretty sure. 🙂 And Levi is almost over his cold. He just has to mentally realize it. He thinks he still needs to be cuddled all.the.time. 🙂
I guess that makes me the third person who reads your blog. 😀 Sounds like you need a vacation from your vacation!

Looks like you have at least 4 readers! Your last bit of time sounds like our last month and a half! I know I am at least glad to be sleeping in my own bed again 🙂 Traveling is great fun, but I always miss my bed doing it. Great to have an update!

Wait, I read it too. that makes me 5!! WOO HOO!. Yes you forgot the part where we made all you sick.
We also are crazy with stuff, although I think we’re finally home until Labor day. and unless we go to a random VBS around here we wont have that to worry about. Is yours really in the morning? I don’t know as though I’ve ever heard of a church doing it in the day, what about all those parents who work?
and I miss you.

I also read your blog and you don’t even know me. So definitely more than 3!
Oh my goodness! You guys surpass my expectations! Gonna start singing Wicked’s “Popular” to myself now…
You know I’m reading. May totally SUCK at commenting, but I’m reading at least LOL
We’re not wicked busy yet … but we are taking the girls to a small circus at the end of the month (their first!! And only my second!) … and two days later, Jason’s mother and youngest sister are coming for a short overnight visit from New Hampshire (we’re in Wyoming)! The sister is starting college here in Wyoming shortly and has orientation later this month. Figured since they were in the state, they’d come see the girls (who they haven’t seen in over a year, since we moved out here). It’s only the 3rd time, in almost 8yrs of marriage, they’ve ever been to our home, so I’m kinda sorta freaking LOL

And heres a lurker, which brings you up to.. what, 9 readers? Much more than three at any rate..
Being in the southern hemisphere I’m knee-deep in blankets rather than summer, but hey.

Around here, most VBSes are in the morning, which means, yes, those of us with full-time jobs can’t volunteer to help out. Since VBS preparations are ALL my friends have been talking about, I’ve felt a bit left out lately…
